Summary Statement :

Under general supervision of the Director, Global Compliance, Regulatory and ISO Systems, the incumbent is part of Shure’s Global Compliance Engineering team as global regulatory advisor, responsible for researching and monitoring of regulations, and helping establish global regulatory strategies. 

Representative Duties:

  • Establish communication with regulatory authorities relating to spectrum planning, product safety and environmental for all regions of the world
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends and new regulations in order to analyze the impact of regulation changes on an organization by working closely with Global Compliance team and key Shure stakeholders
  • Interpret/evaluate proposed regulations and advising management on impact to the organization
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies, procedures and controls for new products and/or business activities that require governmental approval
  • Prepare and submit regulatory applications such as permits, licenses, certificates and authorization required by governmental agencies
  • Assist in coordinating and preparing various compliance reporting to regulatory organizations, meeting documentations, training material, performing internal audits on the effectiveness of compliance policies
  • Maintain records of international Regulatory Compliance regulations including technical details for all regions of the world.
  • Monitors special projects and other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of wide-ranging experience with regulatory requirements on a global scale
  • Proven track record of working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
  • Knowledge of government administrative procedures and requirements and ability to evaluate complex information and make recommendation
  • Able to lead cooperative efforts among members of project teams across the globe
  • Self-motivated, multi-tasking with organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
  • Proficient in computer operating skills in MS Office / Excel; experience in using SAP or ERP systems are preferred
  • Domestic and overseas travel required
