Reports to: Technical Services Manager (Cabin Maintenance and Standards)

Department: Engineering (ENG)

The job holder is responsible for ensuring that Cathay Pacific (CX), Cathay Dragon (KA) and Air Hong Kong (LD) operations are provided with safe, compliant and reliable aircraft interiors in a cost effective way. The team is accountable for the technical operational reliability performance and maintenance cost accountability for all fleets aircraft interiors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 7-day technical support for Base or Line maintenance Aircraft On Ground (AOG) or critical technical issues.
  • Responsible for significant and repetitive defects management to minimise operational disruption. 
  • Oversee operational reliability to identify and mitigate emerging technical issues.
  • Oversee deferred defect levels and support management of outsourced defect management functions to ensure that service levels and targets are met.
  • Manage operational reliability key drivers.
  • Manage technical investigations and corrective action implementation, including ASR, MOR, QDR, etc.
  • Responsible for cabin OEM and vendor management of performance, reliability and cost drivers.
  • Review and support action of Service bulletins and other OEM advisory documentation.
  • Be aware of world fleet reliability issues through OEM documentation process management.
  • Oversee and optimise maintenance cost.


  • Minimum 6.5 years' experience in Aviation Engineering role.
  • Degree in Engineering or aerospace discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Chartered Engineer or holder of a Design Engineer (DE) position in a HKAR-21 Subpart J Design Organisation is preferred. Strong aviation engineering knowledge and experience, preferably in a Cabin interiors or avionics role.
