Job Description

The Senior Manager will be supporting the TRM related initiatives and BAU activities in Asia Segment.

  • Coordinate 2nd line over sight review on 3rd party assurance review performed by 1st line as per 3rd party information risk management standard;
  • Support the implementation of Archer GRC and facilitate countries’ adoption as part of global IAP program;
  • Perform 2nd line assurance review for risk exception and corrective action plan (CAP)
  • Act as specialized expertise to provide guidance to countries on risk and control assessment;
  • Support the execution of Control Assurance Program, including control self-assessment questionnaire, control testing and preparing management reports
  • Identify control gaps in IT operational processes based on IRM policies and standards
  • Perform risk analysis for high severity Cyber/Technology incidents


  • Ensure all control assurance activities are completed according to planned schedule
  • Ensure the quality of risk analysis and management report meets management expectation
  • Ensure an effective way in execution of technology risk management activities


  • University Degree with 5 years or more in technology risk management, ideally with experience in banking or financial institute
  • Good understanding and solid experience in risk and control assurance program
  • 3rd party risk management experience with proven ability to perform related activities, e.g. security questionnaire review and on-site inspection
  • Data/information analysis and innovative problem solving skills with the proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment
  • Ability to learn, know and act upon what’s important to Manulife and business units
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to be sensitive and professional when communicating across geographical and cultural boundaries
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively simultaneously, while managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Security Certifications: CISM, CISSP and/or CISA, or designations in security, IT auditing is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations

Position Dimensions (Organizational Impact):

  • Coordinate risk and control assurance activities for all 10 countries in Asia segment
  • Support internal control review activities for at least 3 country
  • Provide risk analysis for Asia management attentions
