Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. Job Responsibilities


  • Review/approve structured transactions in Wealth Management within delegated approval authorities and ensure they meet the group credit appetite and standards. All potential risks not limited to credit, legal, documentation, operational, regulatory and reputational risk are properly addressed and justified. Provide credit judgment/comments for obtaining approval from higher approval level if the proposed credit is outside the delegated lending authority.


  • Review new credit product approvals including for new lending programmes with relevant stakeholders with a view to obtaining approval that addresses the meets policies and guidelines so that all key risks to the bank are appropriately addressed.


  • To support business/product developments by providing advisory feedback relating to risks of any new businesses


  • Working closely with Legal, Compliance, COO office and Business to provide advice on non-standard credit cases.


  • In-depth knowledge of private banking credit offering including but not limited to promoter share financing, single stock financing, large residential and commercial property financing, as well as non-standard PB credit offering such as pre-IPO financing and acquisition finance.


  • To work with legal for non-standard/complex facility documentation


Requirements


  • University graduate in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or other related disciplines

  • Over 10 years’ relevant experience in private banking credit as a credit approver with credit delegations with strong experience in structured transactions including but not limited to promoter share financing, single stock financing, large residential and commercial property financing, as well as non-standard PB credit offering such as pre-IPO financing and acquisition finance.

  • Sound knowledge in full range of wealth management products.

  • Good understanding of financial markets and the risks involved in financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income securities, Funds, and Derivatives).

  • Strong analytical power, good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment.Possesses sharp judgment and ability to make prompt and reliable recommendations to management under tight timelines.

  • Strong English verbal and writing communication skills

  • Leadership and people management skills.

  • Build strong business partnerships with different internal functions.
