Service Engineer - Electrical

  • Provide all types of technical service support to customers, partners and powerplant operators across the country
  • Specialist for Engine/Generator Electronics, Automation systems and Power Generation equipment with basic responsibility for mechanical jobs
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting work for all high-speed generators, related auxiliary systems and related technical requirements
  • Introducing, maintaining and observing working instructions, Quality Control and HSE standards at the job site
  • Troubleshooting of components, engines, electronics and systems incl. repair or replacement, adjustment, calibration and function test.  Clarification of spare parts requirements and orders in coordination with the responsible parties
  • Analysis and evaluation of engine/system operating data, error logfiles and malfunction reports in co-ordination with the relevant parties. Implementation and observation of follow up actions.
  • Supervision for all electrical service activities at the powerplant
  • Other Work- and Project assignments given from time to time


  • Higher Diploma, University Degree or above in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an Engine/Propulsion-, Marine-, Power Generation- or Automation/Instrumentation/Controls-environment will be an advantage
  • Understand of wiring- and single line diagrams, (safety-) requirements for electrical installations, electromagnetism and alternator principle, sensors and actuators, open- and closed-loop control, automation and protection devices, measuring electrical and non-electrical values, standard measuring equipment/instrumentation, switchgear (LV/HV), transformers and other powergen /power distribution-equipment
  • Ability to understand electrical drawings/ the function of electrical components, to conduct basic mechanical repair works and installation checks
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Applications
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independent with good problem solving and analytical skill s
