Service Engineer - Mechanical

  • Provide all types of technical service support to customers, partners and powerplant operators across the country
  • Specialist for Engines/Generators, mechanical (sub-) systems, auxiliary systems and power generation equipment
  • Installation, commissioning, maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting and quality control work for all high-speed generators and related auxiliary systems.
  • Introducing, maintaining and observing working instruction, Quality Control and HSE standards at the job site.
  • Troubleshooting of components, engines, systems and mechanical components incl. repair, overhaul or replacement, adjustment, calibration and function test. Clarification of spare parts requirements and orders in coordination with the responsible parties.
  • Analysis and evaluation of engine/system operating data, error logfiles and malfunction reports in co-ordination with the relevant parties
  • Handle product-related technical questions and complaints from customers, partners and operators in coordination with manufacturers and internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining project documentations integrity including specifications, tender documents, progress & cost reports, site records, etc.
  • Supervision for all service activities at the powerplant
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned


  • Higher Diploma, University Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an Engine/Propulsion-, Marine-, Power Generation- or Automation/Instrumentation/Controls-environment will be an advantage
  • Ability to understand electrical drawings/ the function of electrical components, to do basic mechanical repair and troubleshooting works
  • Familiar with mechanical measurement and quality control procedures and tools
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Applications
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independent with good problem solving and analytical skills
