Settlement Assistant - Banking (12 months, Contract)

We are currently looking for talented people to join their dynamic team.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Perform all operational processing in internal systems to support Third-Party-Clearing (TPC) and Agency Clearing (AC) businesses.
  • Monitor and facilitate successful trade settlement (on-exchange and OTC) via all systems/tools available, including but not limited to CCASS terminal.
  • Perform broker back-office/middle-office functions as mutually agreed with clients, including but not limited to settlement instruction pre-matching, settlement date instruction matching and follow-up with counterparties on settlement instructions.
  • Prepare customized reports as per mutually agreed with clients.
  • Provide assistance to internal colleagues in addressing  / resolving Sub-Custody and Clearing Hong Kong related activities / issues and / or requests.
  • Inform clients on settlement status and follow-up with clients on problem trade transactions (e.g. missing instruction, mis-matched instruction... etc.) in a timely manner.
  • Handle and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be the key point of client contact and accountable to help address clients' requests related to the product/services provided by company.
  • Assist in the periodic control review and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing the documentation related to Broker Outsourcing Service.
  • Establish and document new procedures.  Be aware of the operational risk associated with the role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.  Take all possible measures/actions in managing the potential risks that Sub-Custody HK faces.


  • University graduated in related discipline
  • Preferably with experience in banking & finance industry
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and self-motivated
  • Good team player, proactive and willing to learn
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese, both written and spoken·
