Settlement Associate - Operations & Settlement (Ref: JOB-DOA-0711)

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for daily settlement operations for HK and oversea securities, including trade matching, day-end procedures, daily stock reconciliation, CCASS operations and reports preparation
  • Handle HK stocks’ corporate action, physical scrip deposit and collection
  • Handle IPO application, placement booking, settlement with placing agents, prepare placing letter and all required documents to HKEX
  • Responsible for daily OTC markets settlement and corporate action (e.g. Fixed Income, Fund, etc.)
  • Prepare Trade Confirmation, trade booking and handle new bond settlement with B&D
  • Liaise with front office/ brokers/ custodians/ trustee/ fund administrator to resolve settlement issues
  • Handle Clients’ fund in/ out and FX
  • Handle client’s account opening and CIES reporting
  • Participate in system enhancement projects (e.g. UAT, Market Rehearsal)
  • Take up ad hoc duties as assigned by Department Head


  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business-related disciplines; at least 2 years’ relevant experience in related areas, including CCASS operation and corporation action handling;
  • Experience in handling fixed income settlement is an advantage;
  • Able to advise, monitor and control the funding positions for settlement;
  • Good knowledge in using various payment settlement systems such as RTGS and SWIFT etc.;
  • Well-versed in computer applications (e.g. MS Word & Excel);
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Chinese & Mandarin;
  • Detailed-minded and able to work independently under tight deadlines;
  • Immediate available is highly preferred.
