Software Developer (C++/Python)

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high calibre IT application team for one of the fastest growing multinational organisation in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Development of a software platform to support new technologies and hardware platforms
• Software development for various SoC (System on Chip)
• Third party software integration
• Dealing with various video/audio technologies and networking protocols
• Design and develop video streaming, decoding and transcoding engine with various technologies, include GStreamer, ffmpeg
• Design and develop various media plug-ins and media extensions for browsers
• Debugging video streams and video synchronization problem
• Multi-threaded real-time application development using C/C++ on POSIX systems

Experience and skills

• University degree/Master degree/PhD in CS/IE/EE/CE or equivalent
• At least 4-year experience in software development in C/C++
• Experience in video/image processing research and development would be an advantage
• Good knowledge in ABR streaming include HLS, MPEG-Dash is a PLUS
• Knowledge in video/audio codec design is PLUS
