Software Engineer (HKHPC-PSD)
Job Matcher Responsibilities:
We are looking for front-end developers for company’s high-performance computing (HPC) and other customers, such as numerical weather forecasting, pollution simulation, and equipment management. The models are designed by our neighbour teams and our customers; successful candidates will join us on programming, communications, and deployments:
- Work in a team for the applications, the webpages and the mobile apps;
- Perform UX/UI design, testing, documentation, and maintenance;
- Orchestration with public cloud infrastructures and in-house HPC;
- (Senior position) Provide guidance to junior and/or outsource staff.
- Relevant post-secondary / tertiary curriculums such as computer science, information technologies, and information engineering;
- Competence in making websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with one or more prevalent programming languages such as Node.js, Python, C++, etc;
- Passion and analytical mindset for problem solving;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork;
- Professional Cantonese and English for team activities;
- Permanent resident (or valid working visa) in Hong Kong.
- Minimum five years of relevant working experience, or master's degree in a relevant university curriculum;
- Ability to comment and improve programming work made by other colleagues through code repositories and code review platforms;
- Leadership experience will be an advantage.
Newcomers will be given customised training to get familiar with the required technologies and the company culture. Fresh graduates and experienced professionals are both welcome. Candidates with more experience may also be considered for the Senior Software Engineer position.
