Sourcing Manager, Shenzhen

Strategic Alignment:

  • Ensures current and future vendor base has the capabilities to develop and deliver the product plans of safe, sustainable and reliable products on time, in full and at competitive costs
  • Supervise and train up buyers team to align to the company's SOP and strategic plan

Quality of Sourcing Plans:

  • Ensures vendor selection decisions are based on total landed costs analysis, “should be" costing and risk assessment of relevant countries and vendors
  • Ensures solid supply base risk mitigation plans across categories, vendors, geography, political, inflation and trade etc.
  • Ensures that all cost-saving levers (commercial negotiations, value engineering, quality, “should be" costing, deep-dives) are applied 

Sourcing Excellence:

  • Systematically assess current and new vendors with effective segmentation / tiering to ensure good supplier pipeline
  • Establishes Vendor Account Plans to continuously improve performance and push for excellence via Strategic Business Initiatives and Vendor Competence Development Programs.
  • Conduct vendor performance reporting & business reviews. Ensures that proper Corrective Action Plans (CAP) are in place and followed through.
  • Facilitates vendor competence development on Supply Chain, Product Development and Manufacturing with clear objectives and metrics at assigned vendors 

Vendor Account Management:

  • Manage interfaces between vendors and company, ensuring that company can leverage in the business relationship
  • Escalation for Quality, Engineering, Costing and SCM to get priority from vendor leadership.
  • Ensure Master Purchasing Agreements are in place
  • Ensure vendor compliance to Company Sourcing Policy
  • Any other ad-hoc assignment.


  • Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years relevant experiences
  • Excellent technical (mechanical / metal & plastic parts) background
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong at sourcing, purchasing skill, venders assessment and analytical skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English, and Mandarin
  • Mature, self-motivated, detail-minded, responsible & able to work independently
