Sourcing Specialist (Senior Merchandiser): Floral

  • Fluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and Mandarin Chinese is a MUST; other languages or Chinese dialects a plus.
  • Able to work as a team member with the Sourcing Manager and vendor community to insure that proper Purchase Order execution.
  • Travel into mainland China is required.
  • Must uphold the highest level of integrity; reference checks will be conducted.
  • Knowledge in U.S. or Canada or U.K retail market is a MUST.
  • Complete understanding of buying office mind-set and business principles.
  • Understanding of U.S. customs and international logistics and trade.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills required.
  • Able to plan and multitask various projects and directions at one time.
  • Good people and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 8 years solid experience in sourcing or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in buying office, agent or well-known importer catering to the U.S. market
  • Responsible & independent for order follow-up, sourcing, inspection, monitor production and shipment
  • Self-initiated, good team player
  • Excellent time management, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • University graduate
