Specialist / Assistant - Marketing (Merchandising) Operations (6-month contract)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • The Mission is to assist Brand Director and Merchandising Managers to develop the range and category strategies of Sports performance and Sports Style in order to deliver the best product range to achieve business and brand objectives in the most efficient and effective way

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensures awareness and adherence of local marketing teams towards milestones, input and handover dates across all Global creation tracks.

  • Adhere to global timelines including PPP, GMM, GTM, etc
  • Support alignment with Creation Centre (CCS/CCT) and China on key creation processes and different timelines
  • Support the coordination with CCS/CCT, China and Global of all market SMU's, CTM's, & globally supported products
  • Manage the local sourcing process and factory negotiation to fulfill business and brand needs including for Sales and Sports marketing needs

2. Supports the execution of range building process from CI to sales handover on a market level reflecting Globally defined range components

  • Support product team to work with GCA on templates, timelines & Submissions
  • Support product team on range building, planning, and distribution mapping
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing regarding key financial metrics and input

3. Supports the brand director on implementation of global change projects and management of locally defined special projects including.

  • Help identify and evaluate potential brand driven and/or commercially relevant projects
  • Implement new projects driven by Global, Regional, or local market
  • Help identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of key processes, tools, standards and guidelines

4. Support the market specific processes, templates, and calendars in regards to sampling and GTM support within the global frameworks.

  • Day to day management of a flawless linelist
  • Leading and manage all data consolidation process within team (SP and SS)
  • Verification and alignment of figures within team and across departments
  • Work with Demand Planning to guide the seasonal GTM planning milestones and processes with responsiblitlies and deliverables
  • Manage the sample room and control sample process including cost, ordering, receipt, tracking, loaning to marketing, etc as well as sample sale.
  • Oversee part timers in product team to ensure optimization and efficiency

5. Provide strategic support for brand input and act as key brand interface to business development and demand planning.

  • SBP planning ,presentations, reports and RFC Planning
  • Range planning support and analysis (Forecasts, pricing approval, efficiency, sell thru, etc)
  • Support in driving quarterly buy plan with support and analysis, buying approval and sign off across functions
  • Support in driving regular reporting on pricing, margin and other key metrics to improve range efficiency and margins
  • Support category ranging decisions with product intelligence analysis
  • Manage product range database and relevant reporting and analysis
  • Develop business report and templates based on business requirement
  • Align with Finance on margin calculations and reporting

6. Support the operational alignment of all department marketing functions as well as strategic alignment including adidas and Reebok


  • Advanced in MS Excel. Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Over 3 years' experience in product/marketing or similar function with strong data management/analysis is preferred
  • University graduate, major in marketing or textile or clothing preferred
  • Experience in merchandising will be a value added asset
  • Candidates with less experience with be considered as Assistant, Marketing Operations
