Store Design & Planning Manager

Scope of Work:

  • Handle & manage the coordination of all Asian store planning projects
  • Assist the management in the search of project negotiation with relevant landlords and partners.
  • The role will be based in Hong Kong and where you will work closely with the Retail Department of the parent company Audemars Piguet Marketing SA in Le Brassus, Switzerland.
  • Frequent travel to Asian countries is required


  • Lead and manage projects for boutique openings, renovation, expansions and closings in terms of liaising with landlords, architects, contractors and the APLB’s Retail Department.
  • Monitor & benchmark competitors’ retail networks and identify opportunities for new boutique openings or relocations.
  • Manage CAPEX budgets for new projects, relocation and refurbishment.
  • Design, draw detailed plans, and coordinate various stages of the construction.
  • Liaise with approved supplier for installation of new or modification of existing boutiques displays.
  • Coordinate on maintenance and consolidation interior design, which includes project planning, cost control and onsite supervision to ensure the store renovation or development projects are delivered in a timely and quality manner.
  • Ensure the store design aligns with the brand's standards and requirements.
  • Control quality and quantity of boutiques material and order from headquarters when they are required.
  • Maintain & conduct boutique environment improvements.
  • Prepare monthly reports to keep track of the status of various projects and condition of boutiques in the territory.
  • Work with other departments to ensure boutique information on the internet are updated and accurate at all times.
  • Coordinate and work closely with relevant stakeholders, such as end users, landlords, internal teams, consultancies and contractors.
  • Monitor and supervise the work progress from tendering, negotiation to execution.
  • Coordinate with Project team to assist with project documentation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, ensuring that all parties remain coordinated.
  • Manage full cycle of project from planning to delivery and installation depending on brand’s requirements.
  • Conduct validation assessment to ensure proposed design can meet and fulfil brand's requirements and expectation.
  • Investigate technical problems, present the technological capabilities, and manage change requests.
  • Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Developers, Engineering Consultants, Architects, Contractors and Designers to explore business opportunity.


  • Degree holder in Architecture is preferred, degree holder in Interior Design or equivalent would also be considered
  • Knowledge in design, architecture or engineering specifications for stores is a great advantage
  • Proficient in architecture software (Autocad) and MS Project
  • Minimum 5 years of experience involving in retail store interior design project management; Experience in fashion, jewellery, FMCG, F&B brands or equivalent will be considered
  • In house experience in retail brands is a must
  • Detail-minded as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with high level of aesthetic flair
  • Independent, strong planning and management skills with excellent problem solving skills
  • Fluent spoken and written Chinese and English is a must
