The role:                    

Having a diverse spend portfolio over multiple areas and disciplines, you will be an individual who seeks to drive best value for the company at all times through price, quality of the product and supply chain.

You will be responsible for ongoing development and management of the companies overall purchasing strategy and activity and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price. It will be a key requirement to develop and implement a strategy to ensure the function is operating in line with the objectives of the business to add value, mitigate supply chain risk and deliver cost savings.

Being able to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and managing the ongoing development of contracts, contractual relationships and ensuring strong contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply chain is a key requirement.

You will lead and manage a team to deliver the appropriate support to the business through strong business partnering with internal departments to ensure that both corporate and business development objectives are met, whilst applying appropriate governance and structure to ensure compliance under our operating structure. You will also work alongside the senior management team closely in contributing to overall business objectives and outputs.

 

Skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • At least 10 years’ working experience in procurement or senior supply management
  • Solid knowledge in sourcing, procurement, commercial and contract management tools and techniques
  • Experience of working with both APAC and International supply chains is a critical attribute.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
