Product management:

Our supply chain management team is focused on maximizing sales and profit by helping our customers find and buy the products they need, making sure they always have a consistent supply of resources at the right price, delivered whenever and wherever they’re needed. You’ll be joining a dynamic team with a portfolio of 2,500 suppliers and over 500,000 high-quality products, helping around 44,000 parcels reach our customers every day.

 

Role Purpose:

The Strategic Supplier Manager, APAC is a newly created position with core focus on Supplier management, including but not limited to developing a strategic supplier business plans aligned to the overall category strategy enabling targeted profitable growth, customer acquisition and ROI in addition to effective supplier management through delivery of the best in class offer for our customers.

The role will also partner with internal cross-functional teams of subject matter experts to understand, define and build effective solutions that generate measureable results.

 

Key responsibilities:    

APAC strategy execution

  •        Execution of supplier business plans for selected strategic suppliers for APAC
  •        Deliver agreed KPI’s for:

-          Supplier sales revenue

-          Supplier product Margin (cost ownership and resale influence)

-          Customer acquisition by supplier

-          Optimum inventory availability, value and health by supplier

-          Digital product and supplier performance targets using adobe data via supplier portal

-          NPI volume and value by supplier

-          Product range growth by supplier

-          Strategic supplier network share growth

-          Influencing NES score

  •        Supplier management including new supplier acquisition.
  •        Commercial value extraction from our suppliers, including marketing funding, competitive pricing opportunities, rebate profit contribution, availability initiatives, elevation challenges and technical marketing support.
  •        Delivering the best in class offer across our supplier’s portfolios.

 

Supplier engagement and Performance management

  •        Negotiation and realization of strategic supplier contracts and commercial terms in line with the APAC strategy, while working with Global teams.
  •        Drive strategic supplier engagement within the aligned technology category to give RS a competitive advantage in terms of range, availability, total cost, innovation, cash flow & support
  •        Provide insight to the regional product and supplier management team on supplier performance
  •        Provide analytical insight to identify any other internal issues relating to to the end to end supplier performance
  •        Use continuous improvement to improve supplier performance
  •        Provide leadership, training and create an environment that support team development and ensure members have the necessary resources to achieve their objectives.

 

Support sales, marketing & customers to drive strategy execution locally

  •        Ensure supplier engagement with the DesignSpark product, solutions and new technology features
  •        Work closely with Product Marketing to establish effectively targeted campaigns for our suppliers enabling customer acquisition and profitable sales growth whilst extracting maximum supplier support.
  •        Engage relevant Product and Supplier Management teams to ensure that product selection is aligned to P&SM team objectives
  •        Liaise with Content, Inventory and Pricing teams to ensure that promoted products selected for promotion are optimised for conversion across all promoting markets
  •        Use data to drive product campaign sales and contribution analysis on a global basis to ensure commercial decision-making on product selection is refined in accordance with campaign and category marketing plan objectives
