The incumbent is expected to incorporate into the Strategy team of global Retail Business Division. The incumbent will be responsible to support the Head of Strategy for building Retail Business strategy (in co-operation with respective stakeholders), and supporting the Strategic and Digital Transformation Program defined around 2 pillars


  • Help to build Retail Strategy for the 5 years to come :
    • Analyze the main levers of growth or disruption of the different markets based on markets analysis, competitors analysis
    • Define how Schneider Electric could address them
  • Support Operational teams to carry out the Strategic Tranformation Program when needed
    • Bring data, analysis, insights, market research in order to help the teams
    • Review KPIs with the teams and discuss potential improvements when needed
  • Support the M&A and partnership ambition of the Retail Business Unit: help to analyse with the key stakeholders potential opportunities, conduct assessments of the different targets including meeting them, analysing business models and new business models


  • Strong Strategic experience : Ability to deep dive in a new topic – ability to find relevant data, connect with right people to get right data, ability to build a presentation
  • Digital acuity is also a must : understanding the Digital evolution, its impact on business, on customers behaviour
  • Strategic thinking :
    • Able to think strategically (with at least 5-10 years horizon) and able to transform strategic thinking into business initiatives that deliver tangible business outcomes
    • Excellent analytical ability
    • Ability to think and look for creative solutions
    • In touch with the ‘out-side’ world
  • Understanding the Business :
    • Business experience, understand various type of business propositions and understand how businesses operate in general, capability to learn new methods and technologies
    • Capability to understand various business culture
    • Very strong customer focus
    • Excellent understanding of marketing principles and methodologies
  • Ability to navigate in complex and cross funtions environment
    • Get the most and best out of the people in a matrix environment
    • Request high level of results
