Structural Engineer (12-month contract)

The Job:

Successful applicant is mainly deployed on designing and supervising the construction of structural framework, foundation, piling and site formation works for Government building projects and advising on maintenance to the structures of existing Government buildings; checking structural submissions and carrying out project management duties as required. He / she may work in either i) the offices of Architectural Services Department; and/or ii) the Site, including off-site office.

Requirements:

• Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Structural or Civil Discipline), or equivalent; For Civil Discipline holders, proven experience in structural engineering design and practice is required; and
• Meet the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese and English language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent
• Experience with ArchSD projects would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill.
• Good command of written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.
