System Engineer / System Administrator

Job Role:

• Handle phone-in, email, instant message of support enquiries in using our services
• Perform system monitoring, analysis, trouble-shooting, routine maintenance and documentation
• Co-ordinate with external hardware and software vendors
• Manage Internal IT systems (i.e. web, email, applications and server, etc.) and Infrastructure (i.e. data center, servers and network, etc.)
• Shift duty is required, work on-call during non-office hours

Requirements:

• Tertiary education in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
• At least 2 years of hands-on work experience in supporting Linux hosting platform and storage
• Knowledge of web server, email server, MySQL database, FTP server and DNS is preferred
• Familiar with cPanel control panel is an advantage
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly learn and work with new systems and infrastructure
• Flexible and hardworking, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant System Engineer
