System Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide help desk support, technical services and daily routine task and system operation;
• Design, build and maintain IT infrastructure (Wintel servers and network infrastructure (LAN & WAN), database servers, data center facilities);
• Perform regular system and network review, capacity monitoring, fault diagnosis and problem management;
• Implement system security parameters including responsibilities, request sets, and system access;
• Design and develop necessary SQL queries and procedures based on functional specification to ensure an effective data exchange and system integration

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma in Computer Science or relevant discipline;
• 2-4 years solid experience in system, network and database administration;
• Proven experience supporting VMware, Veeam, Sharepoint, Exchange, MS SQL, Microsoft Operating system, Linux and LAN/WAN;
• Strong in technical support skills including trouble shooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring tools recommendation, customization, deployment and usage;
• IT professional certificates would be an advantage (ITIL/CCNA/MCSE/MCITP);
• Self-motivated, hardworking, team player and able to work under pressure;
• Able to work independently and willing to work outside office hours
