Who we're looking for

We're looking for a team leader to join our Institutional Business and lead the Distribution Client Services team who are responsible for delivering effective and efficient client servicing and reporting support to the Client Directors. This role will report into the Head of Retirement and Client Services who is based in Hong Kong.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of four to provide client servicing and reporting support for both institutional and intermediary business in Schroders Hong Kong.
  • To ensure that your team meets with the group standards on KYC and on-going due diligence in a timely matter including group policies and compliance requirements
  • Be the lead person in driving global projects related to sales teams such as client relationship system implementation, reporting automation, KYC automation and on-going due diligence projects
  • To ensure proper filing of all client records (in line with internal and external requirements), meeting notes and update client relationship management system on behalf of Client Directors;
  • To draft and update departmental procedure manual and provide training on new group policies and procedure to the team members;
  • To provide regular updates and reporting on client services activities, client feedbacks and issues to the Head of Institutional Business and Head of Intermediary Business in Hong Kong
  • To ensure smooth handling of institutional client support activities such as sales/clients support, reporting and document maintenance, client onboarding, handling of client enquiries and client billing matters in a timely manner
  • To collaborate closely with various departments such as Legal & Compliance, Finance, Investment support, Performance, Marketing, Operations and Investment Product team to ensure client records are properly set up in all systems and any changes to client details are made on a timely and accurate basis in line with internal procedures;
  • To handle ad-hoc and non-standard reporting as required by clients from time to time;
  • To coordinate the rollover process for Defined Contribution pension scheme clients and ensure that all client procedures are up-to-date;
  • To handle all field standard retirement hotline enquiries
  • To communicate regularly with the Client Directors and ensure they are fully apprised of any developments or issues related to their clients.

Essential Skills/ Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the financial sector preferably in Asset Management
  • In-depth knowledge on client servicing within asset management institutional business and intermediary business
  • Proven experience in managing projects related to distribution initiatives such as reporting automation
  • High proficiency in Salesforce, KYC and client on-boarding
  • Enjoys interacting with clients and internally across teams
  • Strong communicator in English and Cantonese
