Technical Lead, IT Solutions

Duties

• Collect business initiatives, business cases and requirements from user departments and external users, to deliver digitalize and innovative solutions
• Collaborate with different stakeholders and team members to achieve project objectives in an effective and efficient manner
• Assist in technical leadership for production incidents management, impact analysis, solution resolution, stakeholder communication and root cause analysis
• Plan and manage the project delivery of end-to-end project life cycle in both agile and waterfall methodology, including solution evaluation, project charter, manage resource plan, backlog and issue management and post-implementation review
• Provide on-going support and maintenance of IT applications to ensure service stability and availability
• Provide guidance, train, and develop subordinates within the application development team and ensure good teamwork, morale and discipline are maintained
• Identify opportunities to deliver IT Solutions in accordance with the company IT roadmap
• Assist in establishing and drive continuous improvement of standard IT Practices and Governance

Qualifications 

• Degree holder in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines
• At least 8 years' working experience in IT application development with at least 4 years' in project management, project delivery, enterprise solutions design and development, and maintenance aspect
• Proven track record of managing multiple application development projects
• Possession of the following experience preferred:
  • Management of IT team to implement an enterprise application system development projects
  • Solid experience in managing full DevOps software development life cycle (SDLC) for mission critical systems
  • Management of projects performed by internal resources and external vendors
  • Solid experience in tendering process, vendor evaluation and negotiation, and contract management
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• Hands-on experience in working with System Integrators or Consulting companies will be an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge in software architecture and integration design and project delivery in package solution delivery, data analytics, cloud computing technology
• Good people management, communication, and presentation skills
• Prior experience of application development in airfreight, logistics or aviation industry is an advantage
