Technical Lead (Test Automation)

The Department

Information Technology and Sustainability Division will provide innovative technology solutions that contribute significantly to the Club's mission and strategic objectives.

The Job

You Will:

  • Manage design and implementation of the testing framework and test case automation to support continuous integration/test/deployment
  • Design, develop and execute automated tests using vendor software and/or in-house written tools
  • Provide technical direction, guidelines, and mentoring to the automation engineers in HK and SZ
  • Liaise with other teams and business stakeholders to build automation scripts that fulfils business requirements and work with in house delivery teams to support delivery of automation solution
  • Work with in house delivery teams to support delivery of automation solution

About You

You should have:

  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in system testing experience;
  • 8+ years of hands on experience in developing automation solutions, debugging and building testing frameworks;
  • 5+ years of experience in programming/scripting languages and writing SQL/DB stored procedures and/or Linux shell scripts
  • Experience in design or implementing Test Automation Framework with knowledge in MS Visual Studio, UFT or related;
  • Strong experience in UI/API Automation test design
  • Solid hands-on coding skills in programming/scripting languages e.g. C#, JavaScript, VB, Java, Selenium
  • Familiarity with web technologies, DB/SQL development, CI/CD and integration tools
  • Able to manage fast paced automation project deliverables working with the Automation team and collaborating with the HK and SZ development teams
  • Provide assignment, guidelines and coaching to automation team
  • Learn and adapt to new tools and automation testing methods to deliver to project timelines
  • Be a fast learner, logical thinking and pay attention to details
  • Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (in both spoken and written)

Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
