•To participate in technical projects which may involve design, installation and integration of equipment/network systems;
•To assist in establishing maintenance procedures;
•To assist Assistant Engineer/Marine Services Unit in controlling inventory of equipment and spare parts;
•To assist in resolving technical problems, making suggestions on minor modifications to improve efficiency and reliability of the systems;
•To perform first line service recovery and post recovery works on fault identification and clearance for equipment and systems to ensure an integrated and uninterrupted service is maintained;
•To repair electronic equipment/ printed circuit boards down to component level; and
•To carry out round the clock duty as required.
For Senior Technical Officer role:
•Higher Certificate in electronic / electrical / mechanical engineering / computer science with not less than 3 years of job related experience. Holder with CCNA/CCNP and driving license will have advantage.
•Related experience in maintenance, installation and testing of electronic / radio equipment, microprocessor-based equipment, Local Area Network (LAN). Process of knowledge in Information Technology (IT) is also necessary.
•Physically fit to work at outdoors and be able to work at high level, up to 30 meters.
•Candidates with fewer years of working experience and qualification will also be considered.
For Technical Officer role:
• Diploma / Higher Certificate in Information Technology / electronic / electrical/engineering / computer science.
