Technical Supervisor

Scope of Work

  • To assist CS Manager to supervise workshop activity and provide technical advice & support to the team.
  • To repair watches received to the quality standards established by Audemars Piguet.
  • Focus on delivering highest levels of service to customers.


1. S upervisory task

  • Take leading role in the replacement and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
  • Provide assistance to the watchmakers obtaining the correct spare parts needed for repair.
  • Assure the distribution and implementation of latest technical documentation to the team.
  • Assist to provide introduction training to new watchmakers and to give technical advice when required to other watchmakers. 
2.   Operational
  • Be knowledgeable in all AP standard calibers.
  • To be meticulous, define, dismantle and analyze faulty watch spare parts, repair and replace them.
  • To adjust the function and mechanisms/components and bring back to its original condition.
  • To adopt the most effective and efficient methods and reduce the time spent on repairing the faulty watches.
  • To work closely and render support to the Service centre to ensure that the following duties are carried out but not limited to:
    • Provide quick repairs (bracelet services i.e. adjustments, batteries & etc):
      • Quartz Watches – Battery & Complete service
      • Hand-wound mechanical and simple automatics
    • Provide basic polishing-refurbishing service and guarantee repair:
      • Expected quality (esthetical + functional)
      • Expected quality (performance)
      • Expected promised lead times
  • To comply to technical guidelines set out by the company and ensure that quality repair is being carried out.
  • To discuss issues and provide feedback, if any to superior to achieve productivity level.
  • Be knowledgeable in operating all equipment related to servicing and repairing watches.
  • Maintain all equipment in optimum working condition.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times.
3.  Human Resources
  • Participate in regular training programs (local and abroad).
  • Adhere to company policies in terms of day-off, vacation and sick leave.

  4.   Miscellaneous

  • Keep informed of any new developments in the field of horology. 
  • Attend meetings as directed by management.
  • Carry-out any reasonable request as directed by management.
  • To undertake special projects or assignments that are assigned to you from time to time by the company.
  • Minimum 5 - 8 year’s relevant working experience.
  • Certificate in Horological science and technology or other related disciplines
  • Positive work attitude and good team player
