Technical Support Analyst

The incumbent is accountable for providing technical support on the Company's hardware, respond to user hardware and software problem and IT related technical inquiry.  Monitor and maintain the computer servers and ensure the server room environment is running smoothly and efficiently.  Manage and control software licenses and IT hardware inventory.


Responsibilities
 

  • Process the daily/weekly/monthly application and system jobs according to the schedule and ensure all jobs are completed normally. Report to his / her supervisor when system encounters abnormal situations.
  • Maintain smooth operation of the company’s computer servers, SAN storage and network equipment by applying up-to-date software patch / version and carrying out regularly preventive maintenance with vendors in the region.
  • Back up all production data and application systems in servers; ensure sufficient data backup version and all should be completed successfully in the region.
  • Provide user training and support to all users if necessary (via in person or telecom media such as phone conference, Skype meeting).
  • Assist his / her supervisor to resolve the technical issues and to maintain a smooth operations environment.
  • Set up and maintain schedule jobs for data transmission between Hasbro and affiliate companies.
  • Co-ordinate with the external vendors/suppliers to supply computer devices and related maintenance services.
  • Act as 2nd level support technical to response user’s technical problem which is unable to resolve by front end support or Helpdesk within agreed time frame.
  • Record and control the software and hardware inventory in accurate manner and update the status report to his / her supervisor and manager regular.



Requirements
 

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Studies, Software Engineering or related subjects.
  • 5 – 8 years relevant experience in technical support on related computer systems (Windows Server, VMware,  SAN storage and client products), PC LAN, WAN, PC software experience.
