Hotel and Tourism Institute / Chinese Culinary Institute / International Culinary Institute
(a) To organize, develop and conduct teaching in Financial Management, Mathematics and Food & Beverage Cost Control;
(b) To prepare, monitor and analyze financial estimates;
(c) To assist in the supervision and management of staff and resources;
(d) To oversee the procurement, maintenance and commissioning of plants and equipment of the section; and
(e) To undertake administration, training and operational duties as assigned.
(a) A recognized relevant higher diploma in the discipline of Accounting / Hotel and / or Catering Management, Business Management or equivalent;
(b) At least 6 years’ relevant teaching or working experience in financial management; preferably with experience in hospitality industry;
(c) Proven supervisory experience and administrative abilities;
(d) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
(e) Good knowledge of basic computer applications;
(f) Preferably with knowledge of Food & Beverage point-of-sales system, Materials Control System and Fidelio Opera System; and
(g) Ability to pass a trade test.
(1) Candidates without the required academic qualifications stated in Requirements (a) above but possessing 12 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
(3) In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
