Test Engineer

Sierra Wireless

Summary

The position is responsible for the development of efficient Manufacturing Test system to ensure that products shipped from factories comply with Sierra’s Quality Standard, and fulfill Customer Requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Understand new product requirements by working closely with Hardware and Software development team
  • Develop Test Software and Hardware, and/or define specification for outsourcing development
  • Install test solutions in factory and in HK lab, and provide support to maintain their effective operation
  • Provide support to production and NPI (New Product Introduction) as needed to ensure good Test Yield in production
  • Participate in co-development with other Sierra R&D centres
  • Provide and Maintain Test System specifications and documents
  • Comply to and create necessary documents for applicable ISO process

Required Education, Experience & Competencies

  • University Degree with minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Familiar with GSM/WCDMA/LTE and other cellular standards
  • Familiar with Digital, Analog, and RF hardware circuits development
  • Proficient in C and C++, National Instruments Test Stand and other Test software package
  • Experienced in using and programming of RF and Baseband equipment – GSM/WCDMA/LTE tester, Signal generator, Spectrum analyser, Power supply…etc
  • Ability/willingness to work in co-development scheme with other Sierra Wireless centers and factories. With Professional ethic. Self-Initiate. Able to work under pressure
  • Knowledge in high volume manufacturing test
  • Excellent Command in English and Mandarin
  • Frequent travel to factories and other co-development sites are required
