Following a change in strategy, Global Trade is being powered for growth supported by the introduction of new products (notably in the receivables space).
Operating in a dynamic and fast moving environment, Trade Finance Risk is part of CIB Credit Risk Management. Based in Hong Kong, the position is accountable to the Head of Trade Risk for Asia and the Pacific for the execution of applicable product standards and control oversight of trade finance activities. The team takes prime responsibility for approving trade finance transactions, structures working in close coordination with Credit to advice on product suitability, documentation waivers, etc. whilst monitoring & reporting of credit exposures. The role also involves working with a number of other constituents to validate appropriate controls are in place and complied with. The portfolio is made up of banks and corporates (CIB as well as CB customers) and encompasses a wide range of markets within the APAC region.
To assist in the execution of the Global Trade Risk agenda regionally, including administering and supervising the risk policy approval process and co-ordinating training efforts on various trade products. The position requires close partnership with Global Trade Management, trade sales, Global Credit Risk Management, legal and operation functions.
