TRAINEE: HR Generalist

The HR Generalist Team within Human Resources Department is responsible for ensuring a smooth employee experience, through the delivery of HR operations such as on-boarding, employee case management, mobility in coordination with the Shared Service Centre (SSC). The team is also in charge of digitalization projects, constantly striving for the best employee experience possible.

The HR trainee will work closely with the regional HR team, HR Shared Service Centre, HR Information System team and external service providers.

Mission

Main Responsibilities
The Mission:

The HR Trainee is responsible for the management of HR activities, with a focus on On-boarding and Off-boarding, in accordance with local regulatory and legal frameworks.

The HR Trainee is dedicated to providing operational support to HR Business Partner and HR Specialist teams and manage the transactional execution of HR administration ensuring delivery against a defined set of service levels.

The HR Trainee will be part of a dynamic and diverse team of HR Generalists, where continuous improvement mindset and project skills are valued in contributing to the HR digitalization roadmap.

The main activities you will be involved in are as follows:

1. Recruitment & on-boarding

a) Workforce Administration
  • Ensure accurate position management, quality control of contract production by the SSC and sign-off background screening managed by external company.
  • Welcome new joiners as part of an induction programme and ensure all applicable third parties are informed about new joiner.

b) Employee Case Management
  • Manage start dates, paperwork follow-up and escalation of issues re. background screening and credit check.

2. Workforce Administration
  • Follow up work permit data (with outsourced provider).
  • Execute and coordinate internal transfer process in conjunction with SSC, managers and third parties (ITEC, compliance, Security).
  • Assist in the exit procedure and perform the HR Exit Meeting for paperwork signature

3. Mobility Management
  • Manage daily administration of international / inter‐regional assignment start, extension, follow-up
  • Support in purchasing and redemption of corporate school debentures

4. Projects and Digitalisation
  • Take part in the digitalization projects by supporting the project managers in automating and transforming HR processes that will bring digital experiences to our employees
  • Participate in designing, developing, testing and integrating HR process in information system
  • Assist in implementation, training and transition to accompany users with satisfactory experience

Profile

Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Bachelor or Master degree in Business Management, Human Resources Management or similar
  • Client focused with strong communication skills
  • Solutions driven and ability to work autonomously
  • Process oriented
  • Ability to challenge and simplify processes
  • Well organized with eye for detail, strong sense of operational control
  • Interest to pursue a career in HR
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • Fluent English is mandatory

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis.
