Travel Claim Manager (Ref: TCM / RS)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Travel claims function to ensure operational efficiency, efficient claims settlement and equitable solution to Travel claims dispute in accordance with the Company’s claims philosophy.
  • Contribute to the refinement of processes and procedures to improve travel claims systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing risks within own area of work and ensuring Develop and maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and the general public compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Approve substantial claims within appropriate authority levels.
  • Ensure recoverable amounts are assessed and effectively followed up and approving significant claims within written authority levels.
  • Support the implementation of claims management strategies and objectives for the region/branch.
  • Ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions by providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • Supervise the investigation and settlement of all claims within the team.
  • Review and revise internal claims manuals, guidelines and practices.
  • Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviors and through the use of management best practice, to enable development of staff to support the achievement of business goals.
  • Attract, develop and retain high quality workforce with the knowledge, skill and will to deliver excellent claim outcomes and customer service.

 

Requirements:

  • University Degree or professional qualification in insurance or related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experiences with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
  • Solid working knowledge of claims classes and service requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of Travel claims.
  • Board knowledge of insurance industry and claims processes.
  • Good analytical and presentation skills.
  • Customer centric minded and able to meet the Company’s service standards.
  • Self-motivated, positive and able to work under pressure.
