Vice President/ Assistant Vice President, Credit Approval

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve credit applications within the delegated approval authority; and provide recommendations for requiring higher approval authority;
• Manage and monitor portfolio of assigned units and ensure credit quality and full compliance with Bank’s credit policies and risk appetites;
• Highlight and identify exceptions against the Bank’s lending policies, standard terms and conditions being offered to borrowing clients;
• Review and update related credit policies; and
• Perform other ad hoc projects or assignments.

Requirements:

• University graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or related disciplines;
• CFA, Accountant and/or FRM is a plus; and HKIB ECF-CRM;
• 5 - 8 years’ credit approval experience of large corporate, FIG, SME, and/or frontline RM experience in corporate or commercial banking;
• Sound knowledge in corporate lending products, accounting principles and financial statement analysis;
• Good understanding in key market and industry dynamics; and
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua.
