Responsibilities



  • Manage the Custody team activities which include trade settlement, nominee services, account openings as well as billing processing in an efficient and cost-effective manner while maintaining high quality and adequate controls according to established procedures, guidelines and Service Level Agreement

  • Develop and continuously review, streamline and improve processes to increase efficiency, productivity and utilization of resources by means of Management Took Kit

  • Act as a main contact point to effectively communicate with internal departments, customers, service providers on relevant inquiries, matters or complaints

  • Assist the Department Head to develop action plan to improve productivity and to make recommendations on modification of procedures and application of technology to enhance operational efficiency and minimize operational risk

  • Lead, coach and develop the team members to achieve the section’s goals and to complete their assignments

  • Promote and encourage open and good communication amongst all levels of staff

  • Adhere, provide guidance and ensure subordinates comply with the rules, guidelines and regulatory requirement of the Bank, HKMA, MAS, SFC, etc pertaining to the operations

  • Escalate exceptional/outstanding/suspicious transactions to the Department Head and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy

Requirements

  • University Graduate or above

  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in custody operations with 3 year experience of people management

  • Sound experience of banking and securities operations and practices

  • Be familiar with the market trend and new product / system development of Hong Kong and foreign securities market

  • Good leadership and management capabilities; self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking

  • Strong senses of risk controlling and management

  • Able to build an effective teamwork within the section and co-operate in a harmonious and productive manner with superiors

  • Good interpersonal, problem-solving skills and negotiation techniques

  • Good team player, supportive and flexible to take up departmental tasks

  • Excellent communication skills and command in English and Chinese/Putonghua (both spoken & written)
