Vice President & Commercial Director APAC

With OEM & ODM experience from the bags and luggage industry

GROWN UP GROUP is one of the world’s leading companies within the bags and luggage industry.

We offer OEM-services and ODM-solutions to a wide range of international brands, such as Adidas, the Home Depot, Samsonite and Wilson. Furthermore, we provide OBM solutions based on a strong portfolio of licensed- and own brands like LEGO, CAT, Hard Rock and Ellehammer.

Our Global Innovation and Design Center is located in Hong Kong, from where we are in daily contact with our customers all over the world as well as our colleagues at the European office, which is located in Aarhus, Denmark.

Our Global Development and Supply Chain Center is located in the Ping Di area in Shenzhen. Based out of Shenzhen, we work closely with our large network of own and partner factories across China and South-East Asia.  

 

YOUR ROLE

As Vice President & Commercial Director APAC you are playing a key role in the organization and will refer to the CEO directly.

You will be responsible for the performance and development of our OEM & ODM segment.

To achieve your goals, you will be working closely with the Design team, at the Global Innovation and Design Center in Hong Kong and the Development- and Merchandising teams at the Global Development and Supply Chain Center in Shenzhen.

You will lead and improve the daily operations and succeed in converting customer-ideas, opportunities and needs into designs, developments and orders which will meet the requirements of quality, delivery, costs and service.

You will get the opportunity to manage and develop a business area independently and you will implement the industry’s “best practice", when applicable.   

You are expected to travel to Shenzhen and factories across China and South-East Asia.

 

YOUR CHARACTER & COMPETENCES

  • Role model – structured, disciplined with a “let’s get it done"-attitude in a hectic but professional business environment
  • Commercial sense - able to “sell" the whole value-chain to the customer
  • Commercial skills - competent communicator, strong negotiator and executor
  • Experience from B2B sales to large and leading brands within the industry ­
  • Experience from B2B sales to major mass retailers and / or e-tailers
  • Excellent with numbers
  • Fluent in commercial English and Mandarin both in verbal and in writing
