The successful candidate will oversee the operations functions including Bills Processing Centre, Loans Processing Centre, Remittance Centre and Settlement Operations Department, etc.
Lead and manage a strong and energetic operation team and supervise the execution of daily operations.
Perform proactive monitoring and orchestrating operational procedures and guidelines to ensure sufficient controls for minimizing defaults and operational risk of the Bank.
Identify potential areas for digitizing and optimizing processes and system functionality to enhance service quality and productivity.
Drive strategic operational plan and systems of controls over the Bank’s operations, which should be in line with the Bank’s overall business plans.
Provide insightful recommendations, implementation plan, and workflow design from operations perspective on Bank’s products development.
Ensure systems and capabilities are up to standard and implemented as per business requirements
Develop and maintain close working partnership with other key functions within the Bank for policies, procedures and system establishment.
Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to bank policy or regulatory requirements.
Assist senior management in supporting business development planning and actions.
Lead, manage or/and perform special projects as requested by management from time to time.
Degree holder in Business, Banking & Finance or relevant discipline.
Minimum 15 years of experience in Banking Operations with exposure to Bills, Loans, Remittance, Securities & Settlements Processing, with at least 5 years of managerial experience of a large operation team.
Strong understanding on banking operations with knowledge of banking environment and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong.
Sound strategic planning, analytical and process improvement capabilities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Good leadership, decision-making, problem solving and organization skills with the ability to multi-tasking.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with all parties/stakeholders.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
