Welcome to the office for Business Development and Partnering. The team supports the establishment and long-term sustainability of strategic research alliances between industry and academia.

 

The focus remit to provide the necessary resources to develop, deliver and support long-term partnerships and we have been instrumental in setting up numbers of strategic partnerships and in building relationships with clients. Company also manages a number of industry supported fellowship schemes, run focused networking events, host an Experts scheme and help implement the institutional proximity to discovery: Industry Engagement and work closely with partners across the region including  technology transfer, industry innovation and teams in Research Services

 

This role will play an important part in driving the company’s business development processes including acquisitions and some investments. The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the growth and profitability of the company through directing and leading business development activities and ensuring these activities are delivered in accordance with organizational strategy. The VP will work collaboratively with the line, cross-functional and operational leaders, as well as external resources to identify, assess, negotiate and close high value transactions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the SVP to identify mutually beneficial strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Understand partner strategies and communicate how Enterprise Marketing Platform and services can grow their revenues and provide significant operational efficiencies.
  • Work closely with international commercial to negotiate/close new data partnerships for Singapore.
  • Provide post-sales support and on-going account management.
  • Identify new opportunities to leverage assets and capabilities to provide new solutions to current and potential partners.
  • Coordinate to leverage existing worldwide data partners for international and data partners that use across APAC and Europe.
  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies and materials.
  • Draft and review contracts from a legal and technical perspective. Prioritize data provider contracts accordingly between Europe and international.

Qualifications

  • Strong, proven experience in a revenue-focused Business Development or Sales role within the advertising, data solutions, or marketing services industry.
  • Demonstrated record of creating and growing revenue partnerships with publishers.
  • Online behavioral targeting privacy impacts of data marketplace including an understanding of GDPR
  • Business development background in 3rd party data advertising tech
  • Ability to think analytically and leverage available assets to bring sales to a successful conclusion
  • Demonstrated network of, and relationships with industry contacts, including current and potential external business partners, investment bankers, venture capitalists, and industry executives.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate information appropriately to the level of the audience.
  • Translates broad corporate strategies into clear, specific objectives and well-supported business plans.
  • Outgoing, confident individual who is comfortable presenting to senior executives.
  • Bachelor Degree required.
