Position Description

Candidates will be considered for a role as Compensation Consultant. The role will function as part of the Compensation and Benefits (C&B) team advising and supporting the Global Banking and Markets business across Asia Pacific, ensuring compensation programs are competitive and aligned with business objectives. Close partnership with global C&B/regional & country HR and effective risk management (including but not limited to regulatory and vendor risk) are additional keys to success in this role. As part of APAC IC&B team, the successful candidate may also be involved in the benefits design, delivery as well as the related vendor management.


  • Trusted advisor on Compensation strategy, policies and programs
  • Responsible for compensation advisory and program delivery for assigned Line of Businesses / countries
  • Support compensation related matters, e.g. talent acquisition, retention and pay for performance, survey benchmarking
  • Compile, create, and summarize/analyze data clearly and concisely to help drive fact-based decisions
  • Prepare compensation reporting for year-end compensation review, risk and governance process
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, development and improvement of C&B programs/processes
  • Manage C&B vendors


  • Applicants should possess a minimum of a degree
  • Minimum 7 years of human resources experience with significant period of time in a compensation position in the banking industry
  • Experience in supporting banking and/or global market businesses a definite plus
  • Must be a team player who can also work independently (self starter)
  • Excellent analytical and Excel skills, including the ability to review, analyze, and interpret data, write formulas and macros, create pivot tables and graphs, and provide conclusions and recommendations based on analysis
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, ability to work under tight and sometimes competing priorities
  • Strong consulting and logical thinking, detail oriented and outcome focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required
