Main Responsibilities

  • Develop card marketing strategies and plan; lead the team to implement marketing initiatives and activities to maximize interest income and fee income contribution through developing usage and merchant promotion activities.
  • Strengthen the market position of the Bank's credit card in the market via expanding wallet share
  • Develop innovative and effective usage stimulation programs e.g. ad-hoc merchant promotions, spending and stimulation campaigns etc
  • Develop strong relationship with merchants and come up with attractive usage offers
  • Build brand equity and awareness by effectively leveraging the proposition, features and promotions of card and banking business
  • Monitor and analyze program results and recommend improvement for future campaigns
  • Leverage customer analytics and competitive landscape to recommend proactive / counter-active actions in usage and merchant promotions
  • Robustly monitor program expenses
  • Strongly based on customer analytics and segmentation to recommend and execute spending stimulation programs
  • Act / counter-act to market changes and activities to defend and grow AR & Card spending
  • Work on various bank-wide ad hoc strategic projects
  • Support the customer communications on mortgage loan program
  • Ensure the team is in compliance with the regulatory requirements as well as the internal compliance policies and guidelines including but not limited to anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism.


  • University degree, preferably in marketing or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years marketing experience, preferably in credit card / consumer banking, with minimum 3 years of people management experience
  • Good network established with external partners and merchants
  • A good strategic thinker as well as strong in follow-through with implementation of actions and test-and-learn
  • Aggressive, result-oriented and sensitive to market with strong business acumen
  • Excellent in project management and problem solving skills
  • Strong marketing planning and execution skills from research, communication to promotion
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Good leadership skill
  • Fluent spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua
