The Bank is currently seeking a Relationship Manager for our Private Equity business in Greater China. This individual will work with Director - Private Equity for China (who is based in the US), collaborating in screening new deals, structuring loans, & underwriting credits.

The Private Equity group was founded in 2011, and has grown from zero to over $2 billion in credit facilities in only six years. It currently banks approx. 50 top firms, representing over 400 separate legal entities, and has clients in every major pocket of capital in both the US and in China. It is now one of the largest specialized industry groups in the Bank.
Grow the existing portfolio of China-based private equity and private debt firms, by generating new leads that result in incremental loan outstandings, fees, and deposit balances;
¡H Work with Director - Private Equity for China to structure debt solutions that are sufficiently innovative to attract new clients;
¡H Work with Director - Private Equity for China to complete the underwriting, due diligence, documentation and booking process;
¡H Work with Director - Private Equity for China to deepen and broaden relationships by coordinating a complete package of banking solutions, including treasury management products, international banking opportunities, etc.
¡H Provide customer services during business hours in China
Bilingual in English and Chinese (preferably both Mandarin and Cantonese);
¡H 10+ years' of banking experience with a minimum of 5 years' of direct client relationship management experience and a strong background in banking private equity firms;
¡H Experience in dealing with a wide array of corporate clients with different credit structures, and a thorough knowledge of financial services and products;
¡H Ability to quickly build credibility, close deals and win relationships from competitors in order to generate incremental loan outstanding, fees, deposit balances;
¡H Understanding of firm structures, and of the respective markets of private equity and debt sub-segments, including fund of funds, energy, venture capital, mezzanine, etc.
¡H Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management;
¡H Demonstrated ability in high level effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effect desired results in the back-office and product areas of the bank;
¡H Team player with a highly developed ability to work and communicate effectively with Credit, and colleagues in both China and the US, as well as with all levels or management throughout the organization.
