Overview: The Wealth Management Regional Senior Business Management (RSBM) Team supports Senior Management and business stakeholders to manage business platform and execute initiatives across the Wealth Management unit. This group also partners with Legal, Compliance, Risk & Control and all other supporting functions to define and implement solutions to comply with new regulations and business requirements across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Job Description: The Platform Business Manager Associate role sits within Regional Senior Business Management team (RSBM) in the Private Bank business, you will develop a detailed understanding of the process and procedures, governance model, project management and business platform management and execution for Private Banking unit through the regional team. Working in Business Management team, you will play an important role in managing change-the-bank work agenda and participate the growth of the business through business, technology initiatives, change management and regulatory related initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Drive business initiatives for the Asia Wealth Management business and support the Senior Business Manager in managing change-the-bank and run-the-bank business agenda, achieve overall business platform sustainability and contribute to different business improvement and strategic initiatives
  • Involve heavily work closely with Technology team to understand the Technology agenda, implementation and manage the impact to business.
  • Participate in new Technology and Digital initiatives from business perspective and help driving business adoption and re-orientate the business process to the solutions
  • Run initiatives to address regulatory and internal control requirements
  • Support certain business platform agenda through oversight of important business and governance processes which require collaboration with different departments in Private Bank business.
  • Produce key business metrics, maintenance of different business inventory using Excel or SharePoint. Gather business data and perform analysis using Excel to produce metric summary and produce management updates.
  • Identify and fix issues, gaps and execute changes to the business processes to achieve efficiency and maintain the effectiveness of control measures
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 6-8 years of work experience within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to change management / project and business management in a Wealth Management business
  • Strong multitasking skills, attention to details and timeliness
  • High productivity individual, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines independently
  • Keen to learn and proactive to take on new responsibility
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and build trusted relationships with sharp business acumen, and able to articulate in written and verbal communication
  • Strong problem solving mindset, ability to take initiative to handle and resolve issues
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Experiences and strong interest in Technology will be an advantage
