Solutions & Product Development Team sits within the Capital Markets Solution Team, and works in conjunction with the Cross Asset Trading Desk Heads & various support functions to achieve & support the following agendas:

  • New Product & Business Solutions
  • Platform Development
  • Regulatory Initiatives
  • Trading Process Improvements
  • Day-to-Day Business Management for Trading Desk

Role Outline

Solutions & Product Development Team is responsible for the strategy, definition, and end-to-end execution of priority investment and regulatory initiatives across asset classes such as: Cash Equity, Exchange Traded Funds, Listed Options, Taxable and Municipal bonds, Preferred shares and FX spot.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze current investment offerings and business models across Wealth Management and partner with the Cross Asset Trading desk to define new business priorities
  • Drive new product development and build-out of new investment capabilities for Asia WM platform
  • Own and maintain Cross Asset Trading processes and procedure
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to identify and address areas of risk and regulatory exposure across multiple asset classes
  • Develop and manage project plans though strategy development, project definition, solution development, agreement, and implementation
  • Develop and communicate updates for senior management
  • Coordinate initiatives across regions to bring consistency between the US, EMEA, Asia, and Latam
  • Define and prioritize the annual discretionary technology budget to support the relevant investment business
  • Build detailed knowledge of trading systems and front / middle / back office process flows
  • Numerous projects will require effective partnership with the following groups: Investment Leadership; Business Management; Legal and Compliance; Technology and Operations; Risk Management; Marketing; Finance; and Tax

  • Detailed understanding of how trading systems work and an intuitive understanding of how a trader will use those systems
  • Strong problem solving skill. Ability to break down complex problems into components and find innovative solutions to a wide variety of compliance, legal, technological, and behavioral constraints.
  • Ability to identify and question implied assumptions, and exploit faulty assumptions to improve processes and systems


  • 4+ years of experience within Private Wealth Management or Investment Banking from product implementation, product development, process re-engineering or business management perspective
  • Project Management experience, specifically in large-scale project planning and investment product project preferred
  • Familiarity with trading products including Equities, Exchange Traded Fund, Fixed Income and FX
  • Fluent in English a must. Other Asian languages such as Cantonese and/or Mandarin a bonus
  • Understanding of market trading conventions, settlement procedures, systems, and protocol in a wide variety of asset classes required
