Web Developer

The Web Developer will work and collaborate with our media and communications team at ICA to reach people in Hong Kong and beyond for Christ through innovative digital means.

 You are:

 You will be responsible for:

• Designing and building visually stunning and fully responsive websites with easily managed backend CMS such as WordPress
• Balancing pixel perfect attention to detail with engaging user journeys
• Routine maintenance, problem solving and improvement of the current ICA websites
• Collaborating with leadership and other designers for input and direction on technical implementation of digital products and appearance on all platforms

 You must have:

• Higher diploma/certificate or above in Computer Science or other related disciplines
• 2+ years of experience in programming or related field
• Solid knowledge and experience in HTML/HTML5, CSS and content management systems such as WordPress
• Visual design principles: typography, colour, etc
• The ability to handle the whole web design process, such as communicate with users, planning, wireframe and prototyping, coding and development, deployment, testing and bug fix
• A good understanding of the latest web design trends 
• Knowledge of Linux System Administration, MySQL, Unix/Linux Shell Scripting and web programming
• Understanding of Payment gateway integration such as PAYPAL and ALIPAYHK
• Fluency to communicate in English, basic Chinese

• Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript and jQuery 
• UI/UX design experience
