Wholesale Account Manager

Position Summary:

The Account Manager will be responsible for driving business in the Wholesale telecommunications market in Asia. Primary focus is on Wireline services. It is the responsibility of the Account Manager to build a strong funnel of opportunities with existing customer base and develop new customers. The individual will work closely with various teams to close opportunities and grow revenue. The Account Manager must be comfortable in a results-oriented culture, able to meet deadlines and work as a team.  The Account Manager will function as part of a global account team.


  • Generates sales of company systems and services in named accounts, specific industry or assigned geographic territory.
  • Contacts/visits existing and prospective customers.
  • Builds and maintains network of colleagues, partners, and customers to share information and obtain prospects.
  • Observes and participates in presenting products and services that can fill customer needs.  
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's entire product line; may have more in-depth knowledge on a subset of products or services.
  • Accurately and punctually prepares sales forecasts and weekly activity reports.
  • May act as lead in a team when presenting products/services to existing or prospective customers.
  • Responsible for a cross-section of accounts; may be regionally or locally based.


The individual must be able to think and work independently. Must be able to work with client to understand their business processes, quickly identify inefficiencies, and then clearly articulate how a defined solution solves business requirements. The individual must be accustomed to Account Planning, demonstrate business and financial acumen.

  • Bachelor's degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school
  • Three years related business-to-business sales experience
  • Three years’ experience in inbound and outbound prospecting and closing of new business
  • Three years sales experience in wireless, data and/or converged mobility solutions
  • Three years’ experience in direct sales in the Wholesale segment
  • Three years’ experience selling in a relationship driven sales environment involving complex negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of Wireline products and services in the Wholesale segment
  • Proven track record being successful in the sales role
  • Fluent in English, multiple other languages including Mandarin a plus
  • Demonstrate oral, written and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Outlook, Work, Excel & PP)
  • Relationship management skills - Internal & External
