The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body established by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008, responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District.

Job title: Workplace Officer

Department: District Facility Services

Duration: 12 months (renewable)

Location: West Kowloon Cultural District


You will be responsible for:

  • assisting the Authority’s Workplace Management team to manage the corporate facilities and handling job tasks assigned by Manager, Facility Services (Workplace); 
  • responding to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise; 
  • ensuring smooth operation of the department and managing daily workflows in a timely manner; 
  • assisting in preparation of meeting materials and presentations as and when required;
  • supporting the procurement and tendering of services, general office supplies and other required service/goods; 
  • providing support for the committee meeting/ event setup and organizing the Authority’s staff event, gathering function etc; 
  • implementing and regularly review the facilities policies and procedure; 
  • assist in preparing annual budgets and monitor all related expenses; 
  • handling team’s payment request and monitor the financial status; 
  • liaising with various departments for requirements on facilities improvement, preventive and corrective maintenance, and identify cost-effective solutions;  
  • coordinating of office health & safety matters; 
  • preparing monthly management reports, meeting agenda/minutes and presentation materials; 
  • reviewing and maintaining service reports and agreements and manage outsourced contractors and vendors; and 
  • performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management. 


You should:  

  • possess a recognised university degree in facilities/ property management/ hospitality management/ business administration or related disciplines;  
  • have around 2 years of secretarial and administrative experience, preferably in sizable organisations; 
  • be well organised with meticulous attention to details; 
  • have good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with team members and other stakeholders 
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft SharePoint; and 
  • be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
