The PGN is run by a community of early career professionals from different business units and disciplines. It is a global initiative with two main goals: to support young engineers to expand their network of peers and develop technical knowledge and soft skills required to become a future leader. PGN also acts as a mean of communication channel with senior management.

This platform which enables our young engineers to build connections with peers outside of work. It helps improving their sense of belonging to WSP, thus maintaining a higher retention.

In Hong Kong, PGN’s activities are structured into three disciplines, namely engagement, professional development and supporting growth.

Hi there! I am Cathy Kam. A senior engineer working in the Infrastructure MEP division of WSP Hong Kong office. This is my sixth year with WSP, my expertise includes tunnel ventilation system, fire services system and project programming.

Last September, I was one of the luckiest who got to visit WSP Sydney office through its Global Exchange Program (GxP). It was truly an eye-opening opportunity, their innovative design approaches and work culture had blown my mind away. During my four weeks’ time in Sydney, I visited a few project sites and participated in various fruitful discussions with other Australian colleagues.

Over the past few years, my division has been involved in infrastructure projects scattered all over the world, including Asia, the Middle east and Australia. Though we are miles apart, communication tools such as Yammer and MS Teams enable colleagues to stay closely connected and work seamlessly for quality project delivery.

Nevertheless, work is not all our lives in WSP. Sometimes, we will all go for ice-cream together, a mouthful of tasty ice-cream can always lighten up our busy days!
